Licensing:

In Texas, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) regulates water (includes irrigation) and air control. Anyone installing, repairing, designing, or selling an irrigation system in the state of Texas must be licensed through the TCEQ. In addition, there are specific rules governing irrigation in each Metropolitan area and water district. We have experience working with virtually all water providers in the Houston and surrounding areas.

Clear Cut operates under license LI7643. We are also licensed to check the backflow prevention device on any irrigation system.  This backflow device works like a check valve in your heart to prevent any contaminants in the lawn from entering the irrigation system and flowing backwards into the city water system.  It is very important that this device is checked on a yearly basis.  Many municipalities send letters to homeowners and businesses alerting them that the yearly test must be performed.  This device is also tested at the time of  installation.  We send the paperwork to the required municipality once the device is tested.
