Irrigation problems at the home can be anything from a broken head, leak at the backflow prevention device (PVB), bad control box, or bad zone valve, to the installation of a pool requiring certain zones of the system to be re-routed. We have equipment and knowledge to quickly troubleshoot the problem and then fix it in a timely and efficient manner.
This system was over ten years old and the PVB needed replacing. After a new PVB is installed, it is test certified and the paperwork sent to the municipality.
A quick test on the control box can determine if the zone valve is out or the box is going out.
The zone valve can go out after 5-7 years and the solenoid workings can be replaced. At some homes, the valves are not under a valve cover, but buried out of view. We have a valve locator that can locate each valve so after repair we can put a cover over it for easy access in the future.
