An irrigation design is developed by first measuring the yard, then creating a plot of the property on the computer. After the system layout is complete and hydraulics are calculated, the design is reviewed by the customer. Once the customer approves the design, the permit is pulled and the yard is flagged with color flags to show the location of each spray head or rotor. After the system is complete, we like to educate our customers on how to adjust the heads and program the control box. We supply a spreadsheet showing the zones and programming, an information sheet on the system and a sticker to record the installation date and warranty.

The backflow device, in this case a PVB, is installed and tested. The green tag shows that the inspection by the city was passed. The PVB must be 12" higher than the highest spray head. The valves are placed under valve covers for easy access in the future.
The yard is trenched, boring under walks and driveways is complete. The trenches are covered. Sod will be placed over the scars upon request, as shown below.
Upon completion of the installation, the system is turned on and all heads are opened and the spray is adjusted.
